Doron is the National Leader for KPMG Canada’s Risk Consulting Services and has over 20 years of experience across various industries.
Doron transferred to KPMG Canada in early 2014, from KPMG in Israel where he held the position of Head of Advisory and was responsible for implementing growth plans, development of new services, key marketing initiatives, risk management and overseeing HR and quality performance.
Doron’s professional background and experience encompasses risk management, information protection, cyber security consulting as well as advisory in the area of strategy, corporate finance and executive compensation.

Doron has led numerous internal audit co-source and outsource engagements where his responsibilities included project oversight, review and comments over working methodologies, risk assessment, detailed audit plans, coordinating between the various relevant KPMG disciplines in order to maximize efficiency, and ongoing monitoring over the execution of internal audits. As the leader of the IT Advisory practice in Israel, Doron participated in numerous IT/cyber risk assessment projects including cyber maturity, penetration testing, system infrastructure reviews, software license reviews, BCP/DRP as well as IT systems reviews. Doron has extensive experience in IT attest work including service organization reports and IT in the audit. Doron has led a number of internal controls over financial reporting [ICFR] engagements for large multi-billion dollar organizations with operations in multiple jurisdictions, primarily for technology, financial services and industrial markets clients. He has advised corporations on structuring and revision of their enterprise risk management (ERM) functions. One of Doron’s key areas of focus at KPMG has traditionally been in the transaction advisory space, including numerous Israeli inbound and outbound deals. Prior to his position as Head of Advisory in Israel, Doron led the Transaction Services practice of KPMG Israel where he performed numerous due diligence investigations and valuation assignments. Doron has worked with investors, infrastructure companies as well as the Israeli government on Private Public Partnerships. In this context, Doron has assisted with complex financial modeling and model reviews, mapping and mitigating risks as well as researching and consulting on government strategy. Doron has advised boards and board committees on executive compensation plans and policies (including addressing “Say on Pay” legislation) and has led various forums, conferences and committees in this area. Doron was also engaged by clients to assist with strategic planning, finance function transformation and information risk management challenges.
Doron was a guest lecturer at Bar Ilan University, Tel Aviv University, the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya and at numerous forums and conferences. Doron founded the Israeli branch of the ACI (Audit Committee Institute) and the BDC (Business Development Club). These forums are designed to expose senior executives and directors to important market and regulatory developments and to facilitate dialogue amongst business community leaders
