Waheeda Rahman White is the Director, Equity, Diversity and Human Rights with the City of Toronto, leading a team developing and implementing innovative programs and providing strategic advice to build the Toronto Public Service’s capacity to reflect and effectively serve the City’s diverse population.
Prior to working with the City of Toronto, Waheeda was the Director of Organizational Development, Diversity and Inclusion at the Scarborough and Rouge Hospital. Her role led and supported organizational effectiveness and transformational change through learning and leadership development, engagement and the hospital’s diversity and inclusion strategy.
Waheeda has close to 20 years of management expertise in both private and public sectors, including manufacturing, financial services and government. She has served on a number of boards, including the Board of Governors at Centennial College and was recently appointed to the board at Toronto Regional Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC).
She is a sought after guest speaker, leadership coach, and mentor, who is certified in both coaching and change management. Waheeda holds a Masters from Ryerson University, graduate education in Organization Development through Schulich School of Business and is a graduate of Rotman School of Management Leadership Development program.
