Daniele Zanotti

United Way of York Region

Since graduating with a Masters in Social Work from University of Toronto in 1993, Daniele has successfully combined creativity, passion and action across a number of senior positions in the charitable sector.

After years of community work at Rexdale Community Health Centre, Daniele joined the Region of York’s Community Services and Housing Department where he played a catalyst role in pioneering initiatives including YorkLink, All Our Kids AOK (the Early Years Pilot) and the Region’s first Homelessness Task Force. He then joined United Way of York Region in a time of change and growth, leading the allocation portfolio before moving to Director of Campaign where he worked with stakeholders to transform the traditional campaign to an innovative business model.

Daniele brought the same change agenda to a number of other organizations, as CEO of Family Day Care Services, founding President and CEO of Villa Charities Foundation and most recently, President of Safe Communities Canada.

On March 12, 2007, Daniele returned to United Way of York Region as CEO.
