JobStart is a community based, not-for-profit agency serving a wide range of clients seeking employment, including newcomers to Canada, and employers in the Greater Toronto Area since 1980. JobStart is proud to have assisted thousands of newcomers to Canada achieve employment success. JobStart is a member of the Consortium of Agencies Serving Internationally Trained Persons (CASIP) and provides the coordination role for the Toronto Mentorship Project working in collaboration with TRIEC.

Heather SantHeather Sant, Executive Director, has provided effective, innovative senior level vision and expertise to JobStart since 1997. Her extensive experience in the Employment Sector has been invaluable, as JobStart has grown dramatically and is constantly looking for new and innovative ways to deliver services. Under Heather’s leadership, JobStart’s programs for Newcomers to Canada have significantly expanded! Developing and maintaining long lasting, positive working relationships with representatives at all levels of government, United Way Toronto, corporations such as Microsoft Canada, and other community agencies has been a key component of Heather’s success.
