We improve employment outcomes for high-skilled immigrants in the Toronto region through a range of initiatives.
TRIEC Mentoring Partnership pairs skilled immigrants with experienced mentors in their field. Mentors gain greater cultural awareness and leadership skills, while helping recent immigrants to better understand the job market. TRIEC runs the program in partnership with community agencies, companies and organizations across the GTA.
The Professional Immigrant Networks (PINs) initiative is a network of professional and alumni associations, run by and for immigrants to Toronto. Through PINs, we support these associations to help their members find meaningful employment. Could your association join the network? Or are you looking for an association to join?
Are you looking for a way to promote a more inclusive culture in your workplace? TRIEC Campus offers learning resources such as training tools, videos and templates to help you better recruit and retain international talent.
CanPrep, a national program lead by JVS Toronto in partnership with TRIEC and others, offers employers the opportunity to connect to skilled immigrant professionals before they come to Canada. CanPrep is offered to internationally trained professionals relocating to Canada in the next two to 12 months, so that they start preparing for employment before arriving in Canada. They can learn how to conduct a job search, participate in online mentoring, learn how to be successful in the Canadian workplace, connect with employers and apply for jobs.
Leading the Conversation offers practical, solutions-based learning tools and resources to help you implement best practices in recruiting, onboarding and performance management. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate and connect with other non- profits working on the same challenges.
