As Communications Specialist with TRIEC, Rick supports the development and implementation of TRIEC’s communication strategy. The role draws on his communications experience to engage our audiences through online and digital media, as well as marketing and communications, event planning, media relations and other projects.
Rick has worked in communications in both public and private sectors. Most recently he supported the launch of Sonnet Insurance, a new digital insurance brand. Before that, he was with Public Works and Government Services Canada where he led and supported internal and external communications, and change management initiatives.
Since 2012, Rick has been a volunteer organizer for PodCamp Toronto, Canada’s largest free digital media un-conference, which celebrated its 10th year in 2016.
Rick completed his Ontario Postgraduate Certificate in Corporate Communications and Public Relations at Centennial College and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University.
