Claire DeVeale-Blane

Manager, Communications

Claire oversees communications for the council and its programs, including The Mentoring Partnership, employer initiatives, the Immigrant Success Awards, and 20 Journeys, and is also responsible for the TRIEC website and events. She was previously TRIEC’s communications and program specialist for over three years, providing communications support for many of TRIEC’s employer initiatives, including the 2008 hireimmigrants.ca awareness campaign. She was also previously responsible for the hireimmigrants.ca website and re-launch, and the HR e-tips and webinar series development.

Prior to joining TRIEC, Claire worked at GPC Public Affairs, now Fleishman-Hillard, serving such clients as the Ontario Ministries of Education and Health and Long-Term Care, CIBC World Markets Children’s Miracle Foundation and Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System.

She has a BA (Honours) in International Relations from the University of Toronto and a post-graduate certificate in public relations from Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning. Claire is also the communications chair for the Toronto Chapter Council of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
