New Bridging Program for Internationally Educated Professionals in Information and Communications Technology Sector

 What

The Integrated Work Experience Strategy (IWES) is a new 6-week training program piloted in the GTA under the Information and Communications Technology Council's (ICTC) Immigration Initiatives in partnership with JVS Toronto.

The program is intended for unemployed or underemployed internationally educated ICT professionals who are legally entitled to work in Canada and are recent immigrants to Canada (within the last three years).

The program helps internationally educated ICT professionals improve their skills in the following areas:

  • Workplace cultural intelligence
  • Connection to community
  • Business networking experience
  • Workplace communication
  • Guided work experience
