Hosting an intern

The Career Bridge paid internship program, operated by Career Edge Organization, is a response to Canada’s labour market demand for internationally qualified professionals who are eager and qualified to work in their professional fields in Canada. It’s a low-risk, cost effective way for Canadian organizations to find educated, experienced and pre-screened talent across many industry sectors, adding skills and diversity to their workforce and helping highly qualified and motivated individuals gain meaningful Canadian work experience.

Career Bridge internshps are paid mid-level professional positions with flexible terms of 4, 6, 9 or 12 months in a broad spectrum of non-regulated business functions including HR, marketing, engineering, IT, finance, sales and project management. Each intern is assigned a coach at their workplace to provide the intern with on the job coaching, knowledge sharing, networking opportunities and professional guidance.

Over 1,650 skilled immigrants have participated in the Career Bridge internship program.

About Career Bridge registrants:

  • 61% possess a Masters degree or higher.
  • 79% have at least five years of relevant work experience.

As of September 1, 2010, Career Edge Organization had provided 10,000 internships through its three internship programs.
