Convening

TRIEC was established in order to find solutions by convening the stakeholders and leaders who can make change happen.

Each year we convene our Council to get input from our members who are a mix of employers, regulatory bodies, professional associations, educators, labour, community groups, government and immigrants. These meetings inform our work.

Occasionally we host roundtable discussions with stakeholders to delve deeper into specific challenges. In 2010 we hosted a series of four roundtables focused on biotechnology, engineering, healthcare and IT. Some of the solutions generated have made their way into projects and initiatives like PINs and the idea for an Employer Gateway.
