20 Journeys is a traveling photography exhibit that tells the story of skilled immigrants who have contributed to the vibrancy of the Toronto Region labour market. The exhibit details their immigrant experiences, their journeys to achieving success, and the programs and employers that have shared in their milestones.
As Canada's largest immigrant receiving centre, the Toronto Region is highly dependent on immigration for its economic and labour force growth, and benefits from the contributions of this diverse and highly skilled community. The immigrants who share their stories come from many walks of life, and many professions, but all share one common goal - starting a new life in Canada, beginning with finding work in their chosen field.
20 Journeys is part of TRIEC's public awareness work about the importance of effectively including skilled immigrants in the labour market.
