Black lives matter.

At the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) we stand with and support our Black colleagues, community members and the broader Black community at this time of incredible pain and injustice.

We believe it is important to condemn racism including violent acts like the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis, as well as the insidious acts of racism that happen every day. Acts that limit economic opportunities, freedom and peace. They happen not just in our streets, but in our workplaces, not just in America, but in Canada, and right here in the GTA.

We commit to doing our part, and to collaborate with those willing to work in allyship to bring about the changes needed to end systemic racism.

Let us work together to educate ourselves about the continuous actions we must take as individuals and organizations to do better.
