If Toronto aspires to be a world-class city, diversity is an important part of the mix, public opinion in a new report suggests.

Residents are making a direct connection between diversity and attracting foreign investment, according to a survey by Nik Nanos for DiverseCity that studied public opinion on diversity of leadership in the GTA.

When asked about what the impact diversity in leadership would have on the economy and foreign investment, 64 per cent of respondents said having political and business leaders from different races and cultures would have a positive impact on the GTA’s ability to attract investment from other countries.
