TRIEC Mentoring Partnership

Mentoring changes lives.

Immigrant professionals who participate in TRIEC Mentoring Partnership learn how to search for a job in their field and what to expect working in Canada, while also developing their professional network.

Established professionals develop leadership and coaching skills, while exchanging knowledge and insight with a newcomer who has worked in the same field before moving to Canada.

How the program works

It takes a whole village – or city! – to make mentoring happen! TRIEC Mentoring Partnership is operated by different types of partners, who all work together to keep the program running.

The Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) manages the program. 12 Community Partners do the matching, as well as recruiting, registering, and coaching participants.

Employer partners offer mentoring as a professional development opportunity for their staff, significantly boosting the number of mentors who enter the program.
