Beatriz is originally from Venezuela, where she obtained and Electrical Engineering degree from the Universidad Simon Bolivar. She moved to Toronto in 2015 to pursue a post-graduate program in Energy Management. With 10 years of experience in consulting engineering, focussing on mixed-use residential and laboratories, her expertise branches across various market sectors.

Beatriz is an active member of the ASHRAE Toronto Chapter and is currently serving as the treasurer on the Board of Governors. She has been a member of different committees since joining the chapter in 2015. She chaired the Chapter Technology Transfer Committee for the 2019-2020 term and received the Dan Mills Chapter Programs Award in 2020 for excelling in program endeavors and promoting technical and energy activities. She always brings a positive attitude and is committed to helping others.
