SUMMARY:Career Advancement for Women - Communicating Your Competencies
DESCRIPTION:Continuing the conversation from last year\, we’re pleased to announce the Career Advancement for Women Workshop. This event will be a great opportunity for you to get insight on effectively presenting your competencies and positioning yourself as a high potential talent in your organization.  \nThis exclusive event will be facilitated by the Intercultural Skills Lab (ISL) of the Rotman School of Management\, and will feature lots of discussions\, hands-on workshops\, and fun ways to connect and share experiences with other women immigrant professionals.  \nThis event will answer the following questions: \n\nWhat employers look for when making hiring and promotion decisions for senior roles?\nHow to communicate your value by effectively aligning your strengths with employer’s needs?\nHow to stand out as a high potential talent in the eyes of hiring managers?\n\nBy the end of this workshop\, you’ll be able to prepare your own personal value statement\, which you can use to communicate your strengths and competencies to an organization. The StrengthsFinder Assessment Tool can help you in preparing this statement during the event (you can purchase the tool during registration)\, or you can come to the event with a list of your strengths and competencies to use during the workshop.
