This highlighted the importance of demonstrating the benefits and value of a mutually beneficial partnership with employers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guest speakers:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Rodel Imbarlina-Ramos<\/strong>, Manager, Corporate &amp; Stakeholder Relations, <a title=\"TRIEC\" href=\"http:\/\/triec.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TRIEC<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Carla Boose<\/strong>, Assistant Manager, Diversity and Inclusion, Global Employment Strategies, <a title=\"Great place to work | Scotiabank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.scotiabank.com\/careers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scotiabank<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Gabriel Hernandez<\/strong>, VP Marketing and Communications, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lambanet.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Latin American MBA Alumni Network (LAMBA)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Emiliano Mendez<\/strong>, VP of Fundraising and Partnership, Latin American MBA Alumni Network (LAMBA)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Highlights:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">From his experience at TRIEC reaching out to employers, Rodel shared insights on what\u2019s unique about the networks\u2019 value proposition. Networks are able to provide a niche talent source, potentially untapped by competitors, that brings international expertise, cultural insights and language capabilities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">Carla emphasized the importance of long-term partnerships with employers and provided tips on what networks should do before engaging employers. These include knowing their brand and the benefits they bring to employers, and having the ability to deliver a talent pipeline of diverse, qualified candidates that are job-ready.<\/p>\n<p>Gabriel and Emiliano from LAMBA shared their first-hand experience in creating a successful strategy for their organization that has resulted in partnerships with a number of corporations and business schools.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How to engage employers? <\/strong>(An excerpt from LAMBA\u2019s presentation)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand employers\u2019 objectives<\/li>\n<li>Identify the synergies between your organization and each employer you wish to engage.
