Happy Newcomer Day Toronto! Today, we’re celebrating Toronto’s immigrants and the contribution they have to make to our community at Nathan Phillips Square. We hope to see you there!

CPP_0056Newcomers are a vibrant part of the Toronto community. Yet, many face the challenge of finding meaningful employment commensurate with their skills and experience gained before coming to Canada. There is a wealth of programs and services available to support newcomer employment, however, many newcomers are unaware of their existence and of their benefits.

On our Immigrants page, we’ve mapped the most common steps that in the job search and listed programs and services that can be of assistance. The path to employment in Canada involves many different steps and is unique to each individual.

For more information on these programs and services, you can also attend the Newcomer Day Information Fair today at Nathan Phillips Square, from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

TRIEC will have a booth at the fair. Join us to learn more about our programs.
