TRIEC’s Elizabeth McIsaac to speak at ICTC’s Tech Talent Summit: Strategies for Diversity and Inclusion

The Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) is hosting the first annual Tech Talent Summit.  In its recent forecast the Outlook 2011-2016 ICTC estimates estimated that starting now and into 2016 the Canadian ICT sector will experience a skills and labour shortage of more than 106,000.  As a result employers need to tap into a wider and more diverse highly-skilled talent pool.  

This summit will look at diversity and inclusion strategies, and best practices that have now become essential to organizations’ success and overall business performance.

Elizabeth McIsaac, TRIEC’s Executive Director, will speak on the panel “Leading diversity,” which starts at 10 a.m.

Participants will learn how to:

• Effectively outreach to the best and brightest talent
• Engage employees with inclusive practices
• Champion a diverse workforce and grow competitive edge
• Assess overall talent management and drive best practices
