
Claudia J. Lara is an accomplished Systems Engineer and Project Manager with multiple certifications and extensive management experience. Originally from El Colegio, Colombia, she has been a committed and active leader working for the community’s progress since her college days. In her early career, she was an active member of an international association and had the opportunity to travel throughout her country and abroad, organizing events to support the progress of communities, focusing on women and youth. Some of these events were highlighted in news outlets at the national level.
With her outgoing spirit and results-driven attitude, Claudia has been an entrepreneur three times in different countries. In her current role in Toronto, she performs as the Senior Manager, Release Test Environment area for the Canadian Banking business line at Scotiabank. She also owns an online training center for professionals called World Study Hub. She is an active volunteer for Latin Project Management Network (LPMN) where she facilitates webinars and contributes to the Project Management profession.
Her passions include traveling and learning about the development of cultures as well as the thoughts and behaviours of human beings. Her brother describes her as: “A fighter woman, a Colombian who in the distance, has overcome with guts all the difficulties that life has for her, has put in front.” She always helps everyone without exception and continuously works on improving herself.
