Dave enjoys being involved in the community. He is very involved in organizations including TRIEC by helping immigrants through mentoring. In addition, he is the current Vice President of the Association of Filipino Canadian Engineers.

Dave is a Professional Engineer licensed in all three jurisdictions – the Philippines, Ontario, Canada and Nevada, USA. He is also included in the APEC Engineer Registry in Engineers Canada. Additionally, he is a Professional Quantity Surveyor in Canada

Dave is currently enrolled in the Master in Engineering Management (MEM) Program at the University of Ottawa. He has completed his Doctor in Business Administration, M.Sc in International Construction Management and B.Sc in Civil Engineering. Other than Canada, he lived, worked and studied in the Philippines, Malaysia and England.
